My name is Ceinwen Bran and I am a fully qualified and insured clinical hypnotherapist and mindfulness meditation teacher. I am registered with the Psychologists Protection Society and I abide by their strict code of ethics. I also have an enhanced DBS in place. Ceinwen Profile Picture

I spent 2 years and around 600 hours studying to become a clinical hypnotherapist and mindfulness meditation teacher. I studied under the guidance of Nick Cooke at Central England College and I am accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy.

Prior to becoming a hypnotherapist, I studied music to degree level and have been playing the piano for 41 years. I write music and I am currently recording an album of contemporary classical music.

I have experience of working with adults and children with learning and physical disabilities and working in a corporate sales environment. I left my sales job after I realised that the relentless meetings and targets were causing my stress levels to rise. I also gained a lot of weight from sitting at a desk all day and comfort eating. I rarely had a good night`s sleep but thankfully a wonderful hypnotherapist helped me. I am now very relaxed and love what I do. I am training to run a 10km in the autumn of 2018 and using self hypnosis and mindfulness  techniques to help me.

My role as your therapist is to talk to you and find out more about you. We work together confidentially to reduce/let go of unwanted thoughts, behaviours and patterns. I teach my clients techniques that can help them, this is mostly done through talking and work between sessions, such as listening to hypnosis MP3’s and keeping a reflective journal. I use a solution focused approach which means I will help you to focus on the solution rather than the problem. We cannot change our memories but we can learn to see them differently and have a more positive outlook on life.
